Most online PDF and photo tools work the same way: you upload your file to a company’s server, wait, and download the result. That is fine for a holiday photo, but the documents people actually need to process are often the most sensitive ones they own – passports, national ID cards, bank statements, degree certificates, visa forms and contracts.
That raises a simple question: why should a copy of someone’s passport sit on an unknown server just to make it smaller or change the background of a photo? Modern browsers are powerful enough to do this work themselves. ScanifyAI is the answer to that question: the same everyday tools, but running entirely on your own phone or computer.
Our mission
To give everyone free, private and high-quality tools for documents and passport photos – tools that are simple enough to use on a phone in a queue at an embassy, and good enough that the result is accepted the first time.
What we care about
- Privacy first: your files are processed locally in the browser and are never uploaded to our servers.
- Honest results: if a tool cannot do something well, we say so instead of producing a poor file.
- Real-world requirements: photo sizes, file-size limits and page layouts are based on what offices actually ask for.
- Works everywhere: phones, tablets and computers, in English, Urdu, Arabic and many other languages.
- Free for everyone: no sign-up and no watermarks. Ads keep the lights on.
Who is behind it
ScanifyAI is an independent project, designed, built and maintained by its founder, Ali, a web developer. It is shaped by the people who use it: the ID 2-in-1 page, country passport sizes, the Application Pack and target-KB compression all exist because people preparing job, university and visa applications asked for them.

How the site is funded
