ScanifyAI1. The service
ScanifyAI provides free tools for scanning, editing, converting and preparing documents and photos. The tools run in your browser and process files on your device. Some tools can also be installed as an app on your phone or computer. We may add, change or remove tools at any time.
2. Your files and your responsibility
You keep all rights to the files you process. Because processing happens on your device, you are responsible for the files you open, for keeping copies of important originals and for checking every result before you rely on it, print it or submit it anywhere.
Official requirements change. Passport photo sizes, file-size limits and document formats shown in the tools reflect published rules at the time they were checked, but the authority you submit to has the final word. Always confirm current requirements with that authority.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use ScanifyAI to:
- create, alter or forge identity documents, certificates, stamps, signatures or any document intended to deceive a person, business or government;
- process content that is illegal, including child sexual abuse material, or content that infringes someone else’s copyright, privacy or other rights;
- remove passwords or protection from documents you do not own or are not authorised to open;
- attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape or reverse-engineer the site in a way that harms other users, or bypass the advertising in an automated way;
- resell or rebrand the service as your own.
4. Fair use
The tools are free for personal and business use within reasonable limits. Very large files or batches may be limited by the memory of your device or by limits shown in each tool.
5. Advertising
The site is supported by ads from Google AdSense. Please do not click ads unless you are genuinely interested in them. Ad content is provided by third parties and is not an endorsement by ScanifyAI.
6. Intellectual property
The ScanifyAI name, logo, design, text and code of the website belong to ScanifyAI or its licensors. Open-source components are used under their own licences. You may link to any page of the site.
7. No warranty
The tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work hard to make the results accurate, but OCR, automatic cropping, background removal and file conversion can make mistakes, and results depend on the quality of the input file and your device.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScanifyAI is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of data, rejected applications, missed deadlines or lost profits, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, which for a free service is zero. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
9. Third-party links and services
The site may contain links to other websites and ads from third parties. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the new version applies from the “Last updated” date shown above. We may suspend access for anyone who breaks these terms. You may stop using the site at any time.
