Why one file is better
When an officer receives ten separate photos, some arrive sideways, some twice, and the order is lost. One PDF in a logical order is quicker to review and less likely to be returned with “document missing”, even when it was there all along.
A clear order to follow
Always follow the checklist of the office first. If there is none, this order works for most applications:
- Application form or cover letter.
- Identity: passport bio page, then national ID or residence card (front, then back).
- The main supporting documents the application is about (offer letter, admission letter, contract).
- Education or experience certificates, newest first.
- Financial or address proofs (bank statement, utility bill).
- Anything else requested, in the order the checklist lists it.
Merge and check
- Scan each document into its own PDF (or keep the PDFs you already have).
- Open Merge PDF, add the files and drag them into the order above.
- Merge, then use Rotate PDF on any page that is sideways and remove blank or duplicate pages.
- If the portal has a size limit, run Compress PDF on the merged file.
- Give the file a clear name, for example “Ali_Khan_Visa_Documents.pdf”, and open it once from start to end before uploading.
